Episode 47. The Spread of War

Emperor Constantine of the Eastern Empire was very angry when he heard that his allies had been defeated by the Lord of Aragon.

He had thought that the combined forces of Count Eric and Baron Albert would be enough to win the battle, but to be defeated by the Aragonese lord's army made him think that he had underestimated his opponent.

The Emperor issued a call to arms and assembled a mage army, led by the 7th Circle mages of the Empire, and sent an envoy to the Castilian Empire to the south, proposing a joint attack on the Empire of Genostia.

The Emperor of the Castilian Empire also heard of the great mana mines discovered in the Empire of Genostia , and was eager to claim them.

He decided to join forces with Constantine and attack Genostia in order to gain a share of the mana stone mines.

민호 자작, 스텔라, 로버트 집사, 리안 기사단장이 회의를 하고 있다.

스텔라 : “이번 전쟁에 승리를 했지만 적국은 계속 마나석 광산을 차지하려고 할 겁니다. 철저히 준비를 해야 해요.”
민호 자작: “네, 맞아요. 스텔라는 마법사 양성을 위해 힘써주고, 리안 기사단장은 병사들의 실력향상을 위해 힘써줘요.”

이번에는 이세계에서는 가장 비싼 은을 구입해서 왔다. 지구에서는 금이 비싸고, 은이 싼 편이어서 많은 양의 은을 확보했다. 왜냐하면 이세계에서의 전쟁에 대비하기 위해서였다.

콘스탄틴 제국은 동쪽에서 제노스티야 제국을 공격하고 카스티야 제국은 남쪽에서 제노스티야 제국을 공격하는 전략을 계획하였다. 제노스티야 제국의 입장에서는 양쪽을 모두 방어해야 해서 힘든 전쟁이 될 것이다.

한달 후, 카스티야 제국에서 제노스티야의 남쪽 마을을 먼저 공격을 해 왔다. 이는 곧 제노스티야 제국에 보고 되었다.

두 제국의 목적은 마나석 광산을 차지하는 것이었다. 동쪽과 남쪽의 마을은 적국의 침략으로 인해 많은 인명피해를 입었다.

제1왕자 헨리는 친구인 민호 자작에게 전령을 보내 콘스탄틴 제국의 침략을 알리고 지원요청을 했다.

민호 자작은 지원요청을 받고 아라곤 영지와 마나석 광산은 스텔라에게 맡기고 병력을 소집해서 제1왕자 헨리 왕자가 있는 곳으로 이동했다.

오엔 자작의 영주성 집무실에서 헨리 왕자와 민호 자작이 만났다.

헨리: “민호, 반가워 그동안 잘 지냈어?”
민호: “네. 저는 잘 지냈습니다. 왕자님”

한동안 만나지 못했는데 그 동안의 안부를 물었다.

콘스탄틴 제국은 오엔자작 영지의 아래 쪽 영지인 헬링톤 남작의 영지를 공격하여 함락했다. 그리고 남쪽으로부터 올라오는 카스티야 제국의 병력과 합쳐서 오엔 자작의 영지, 아라곤 영지를 차례로 차지하여 결국에는 마나석 광산을 차지하려는 속셈이었다.

민호는 이런 적국의 의도를 파악하여 제1왕자 헨리에게 보고하였다.
제노스티아 제국은 마땅히 마나석 광산을 보호할 의무가 있었다.

급하게 전령이 도착해 헨리왕자에게 보고한다.

전령 : “왕자님, 카스티야 제국의 병력이 헬링톤 남작의 영지 쪽으로 이동하고 있다고 합니다.”
헨리왕자 : “음, 콘스탄틴 제국와 카스티야 제국의 병력이 합치면 매우 힘들게 됩니다.”
헨리왕자 : “제2왕자 케빈이 카스티야 제국의 병력을 저지해주면 좋겠네요.”

헨리왕자와 민호 자작 그리고 참모들이 머리를 맞대고 전략을 짜고 있다.
