Herbal tea it sounds good, healthy but if it comes to herbals most of those teas are not for me. They cause me allergies.
Years ago there were fields with chamomile around here. I picked and dried them for the winter days. Good for tea and more. A stuffed nose for example if you catched a cold or to fight allergies. It never helped me instead it gave me allergies. To be honest I don't like the smell of chamomile. I tried it with the children but it was a waste. It didn't benefit us and if it comes to a cold... we never catched one.
The chamomile is gone. What we still have are poppies. There aren't as many in the area but I let them grow in my garden. I like the red and the taste too.
If it comes to herbs I like dill and thyme most of all and mint. There isn't much more one needs if it comes to herbs.
It's not possible to grow them myself so I buy the dried ones. It's good enough although it easily loses its smell once the bag is open. I made syrup out of thyme (no tea) and it tastes great. Helps against coughing something we don't do either.
