I haven't heard from her for a long time.
At times it feels that since she got married and I did my stinking best to find a flight and be present our friendship is over.
Of course, it's not, it has always been this way because she's always busy and I like my peace. Her home is a stressful messy place to be but we are friends. She can lend me an ear although mostly she doesn't. I guess it's because she doesn't know what to answer or she's distracted again. Still, she's my friend, one of the two besties I have.
I give her a short update on everything going on here. A brief update because I know being detailed is a waste of time. She rarely is online at the same time.
Today I thought it would be an easy, slow day. Just one phone call to the city hall to make an appointment for my youngest.
Once done everything went wrong. My phone number has to be blocked and by now even given to another provider (really? That was fast!). I never received a text I should make a call or add more money (I hate making phone calls so every cent on my account is a waste of good money I can't use it for anything). With the number, I lost the amount as well.
Another problem is the contact between school l, my youngest and the hotel. Everything was arranged, and made clear but just one signature to confirm was needed. All we heard since October were small excuses plus we had to deal with a very moody teacher and principal (indeed the one who told me my youngest could better go to the moon if...)🤯
It took me a lot of mailing, pushing, asking, ignoring and I tried to bite my tongue instead of saying: Sign the contract!
Is it really so hard to understand that going abroad means there is a lot to arrange and flights are expensive or even impossible if you wait till the last minute?
At least the contract is signed (the school should practice more if it comes to the layout and text) after I booked the flight (I already gave up on the signature).
Was there anything good about today? My son was cooking and the sun shone plus I spoke to all my children.
I will watch something funny now to give a better feeling to this day.
Did you watch Stanley the Ugly Duckling already? I recorded the German version from television on videotape (indeed still have a video recorder and player) and never saw the original version which you can find on YouTube.
