It's how I call him in my mind.
He wears a smile day after day the entire year.
From a distance,
behind the bars in front of my window,
I see people passing by.
Busy as bees.
I wonder why he's never in such a hurry.
He stays at the corner and smiles
happily.
Does he own time?
I pretend he sees me,
his smile is especially for me
the child in bed.
Not able to call him,
move, set a foot outside.
He's the grandpa, family I don't have
my light in the darkness.
