Prophets in the old testament were given a vision for the future. Isaiah foretold Jesus' birth, life, and suffering. The same God who created Adam and Eve gave His prophets visions, dreams, and revelations.
No one can see the future except for God, although clairvoyants may argue that they can. None of us know the day or the time we will draw our last breath, or by what manner we will lose our lives. We don't know if our loved ones will wake up tomorrow, either.
If we had a vision of the last time we would be able to see someone who passed, would we have changed our plans to see them one more time? Would we call to tell them something we wished we'd told them?
This thread of thinking leads me to say, "keep short accounts." If you can do that good thing today, don't put it off until tomorrow. A lot of things, or activities, can wait, but people aren't promised to us for any length of time on Earth. Today is the time to call, write, and visit.
