Greetings to the Gridcoin community. I'm and I'm really passionate about the field of science and it's potential to transform our world.
I just found this community and what got me very interested is the chance to contribute to BIONIC. I was able to successfully download the BIONIC app.
I read through the Gridcoin community's "About" page and I wanted to share briefly my attempt to sign up contribute to BIONIC.
To be honest I'm really not here for the Gridcoin but for a chance to contribute to scientific research.
I'll be happy to share a few screenshots of the processes I went through to download the BIONIC app and start contributing.
First of all I love the app and website logo, it looks quite futuristic and I'm happy to be part of any research that will bring progress to the realm of science.
The first research I attempted to contribute to with my device is the Asteroids@home project. The app however gave me a notification to put my device on charge before starting the process.
When I placed my device on charge it then sent another notification saying that I need to have my device charged to 90 percent before so that's what I'm going to do next.
There are quite a lot of scientific projects I can contribute to so that's pretty exciting.
I'm thinking my next project to contribute to on BIONIC will probably be the "World Community Grid" because I'm super interested in biomedical and environmental research and I'm hoping science and researchers develop better tools and concepts to make the world a great place and solve a lot of health issues.
Well the sign up process for BIONIC was pretty easy, convenient and super seamless. It didn't ask for anything either than my email and a password I want to you.
So there's really no confusion between my name on the BIONIC app and my username on Hive I decided to sign up with the same name
I'm yet to see how much bandwidth it would require though and I hope my internet speed doesn't become an issue. The internet speed in this city is quite good but in a blue moon it can be a bit messy however I'll try my best to contribute the most.
It's really good that I get to see the amount if disk usage to know how to manage my phone. Unfortunately for now my computer is trashed so I'll manage my phone for a couple of days before fixing my laptop.
I'll definitely keep everyone in the community updated on what happens next
Thanks for reading guys, catch you next time. Bye guys. ❤️
