Hablando, o mejor leyendo y escribiendo. Con un poco más de un año en Argentina y algo similar en la comunidad #HiveArgentina, hoy les traigo una institución donde siempre encontraran amigos.
Agradecido por la amistad cercana y distante, cultivada a través de las redes sociales y en especial por #Hive, hoy le dedicaré esta publicación a los amigos eternos que habitan entre las hojas de los libros y a quien promueve la lectura.

A menos de 1 kilómetro de mi residencia, se encuentra en los predios de larga plaza la Biblioteca Popular Biro.

Un lugar acogedor que invita a la lectura y la promueve entre los más tiernos infantes desde que comienzan a conocer las letras.
Con un parque de juegos infantiles enfrente y espacios deportivos a su espalda, en su interior cuenta con espacio para adultos y también sillas y mesas para niños.

En días pasados, tuvieron diversas actividades dirigidas a los más pequeños con motivo del nacimiento de Ladislao Biró, inventor del bolígrafo o birome, como en memoria de su inventor se dice aquí en Argentina.
Casi nada, 81 años escribiendo sin necesidad de plumillas y tinteros. Inclusive las estilográficas son una reminiscencia del pasado. Seguramente en mi casa guardo una de la marca Parker, ya en riesgo de ser inútil por haberse secado la tinta en su interior.

Volviendo a la biblioteca y su labor educativa comunitaria, cada vez que paso por su puerta me acerco, pues en el exterior colocan una mesa con libros que obsequian sin compromiso a quien se los quiera llevar. Ya me he llevado algunos de los que les escribiré en otra ocasión, hoy les compartiré un folleto que imprimieron con motivo de su aniversario y que me parece interesante.

El texto en las imágenes se explica bien por sí mismo y solo lamento no conocer alguna aplicación que permita su traducción a otros idiomas, sé que existen, pero no las manejo.

Tan importante como conocer el pasado, cultivar en el presente con intención de mejorar y construir para un futuro mejor es en mi humilde opinión responsabilidad de todos, y se me ocurre que así como en otros países llevan Hive a centros educativos, quizás nosotros pudiéramos hacer lo propio en espacios similares a este.
Aunque no soy hábil con esta tecnología, y no sabría enseñar a otros, reconozco las bondades de la Blockchain y de Hive en especial, dejo aquí la idea y mi disposición a colaborar en la medida de mis capacidades.

Desde mi escritorio les deseo un feliz día y les dejo esta lista de 44 ingeniosas mentes que nos precedieron y aportaron al bienestar de la humanidad.

Friends of the present, past, and future

Speaking, or rather, reading and writing. With a little over a year in Argentina and a similar amount of experience in the #HiveArgentina community, today I bring you an institution where you will always find friends.
Grateful for the close and distant friendships cultivated through social media and especially through #Hive, today I will dedicate this post to the eternal friends who live between the pages of books and to those who promote reading.

Less than 1 kilometer from my home, the Biro Public Library is located on the grounds of Larga Plaza.

A cozy place that encourages reading and promotes it among the youngest children from the moment they begin to learn their letters.
With a children's playground in front and sports areas behind it, the interior has space for adults as well as chairs and tables for children.

A few days ago, they held various activities for the little ones to commemorate the birth of Ladislao Biró, inventor of the ballpoint pen, or birome, as it is called here in Argentina.
It's no small feat: 81 years of writing without the need for nibs or inkwells. Even fountain pens are a reminiscence of the past. I probably keep a Parker brand at home, already at risk of being useless because the ink inside has dried out.

Returning to the library and its community education work, every time I pass by its door I stop by, because outside they set up a table with books that they give away free of charge to anyone who wants to take them. I've already taken some of the ones I'll write to you about another time. Today I'll share a brochure they printed for their anniversary that I find interesting.

So As important as knowing the past is cultivating the present with the intention of improving and building for a better future, in my humble opinion, it's everyone's responsibility. It occurs to me that just as other countries bring Hive to educational centers, perhaps we could do the same in spaces similar to this one.
Although I'm not skilled with this technology, and wouldn't know how to teach it to others, I recognize the benefits of Blockchain, and Hive in particular. I leave this idea here and my willingness to collaborate to the best of my ability.
