Hace aproximadamente cuatro (4) meses que llego Charly a nuestras vidas y en esta publicación te cuento como fue nuestro encuentro. En la familia estamos en un proceso de ya no más mascotas. Tuvimos muchos realmente y estamos como saturados, pero cuando las miradas se cruzan, se vuelve inevitable.
! [English]About four (4) months ago Charly came into our lives and in this publication I tell you how we met. In the family we are in a process of no more pets. We had many really and we are kind of saturated, but when looks cross, it becomes inevitable.
El periodo de adaptación no fue nada sencillo, ya que notamos que las otras mascotas no tenían intenciones de darle la bienvenida. Pero como no les quedaba otra opción, comenzaron por aceptarlo. Es evidente que es un perro de interior, pero al ser cachorro, intentaba hacer pis en todos lados. Por supuesto, eso molesto en demasía a Zuni y al patio con los otros fue a parar. Muchos llantos al principio, pero luego se fue resignando y encontró su lugar.
! [English] The adaptation period was not easy, as we noticed that the other pets had no intention of welcoming him. But since they had no other choice, they began to accept him. It is obvious that he is an indoor dog, but being a puppy, he tried to pee everywhere. Of course, that bothered Zuni too much and he ended up in the yard with the others. A lot of crying at the beginning, but then he resigned himself and found his place.
Pero durante el día lo dejo ingresar a la casa y con las puertas abiertas, entra y sale, cada vez que cree conveniente. Realmente es un perro muy adorable, siempre está al lado mío y casi sin molestar. Solo escucho sus charlas con los gatos y por supuesto con el gruñón de Orejón, que por más que la mayoría lo acepto, él sigue en pie de guerra con el invasor.
! [English] But during the day I let him in the house and with the doors open, he goes in and out, whenever he thinks it is convenient. He really is a very adorable dog, he is always by my side and almost without bothering me. I only listen to his chats with the cats and of course with the grumpy Orejón, that even though I accept him for the most part, he is still on the warpath with the invader.
Charly busca todas las formas posibles para entablar una relación con el viejo de la casa y no hay caso. Orejón defiendo lo logrado (ser el rey del interior de la casa) y no está dispuesto a negociar. Charly al ser cachorro, lo único que pretende es querer tener alguien para jugar, más no destronarlo del poder. Veremos como van las cosas.
! [English] Charly looks for every possible way to establish a relationship with the old man of the house and to no avail. Orejón defends what he has achieved (being the king of the interior of the house) and is not willing to negotiate. Charly being a puppy, the only thing he wants is to have someone to play with, but not to dethrone him from power. We will see how things go.
Al principio quien lo cobijaba era Don Juan, pero cuando supo que él se encargaría de la limpieza de la casa, ya que Genaro está grande y tiene otras obligaciones domésticas, no quiso saber nada del sujeto en la casa.
! [English] At first, the one who sheltered him was Don Juan, but when he learned that he would be in charge of cleaning the house, since Genaro is old and has other domestic obligations, he did not want to have anything to do with the man in the house.
Más allá de todos los aconteceres cotidianos que tenemos, disfrutamos de darle una nueva oportunidad al perro. Seguramente si lo dejábamos abandonados, lo atropellaría un auto y hoy no estaría vivo. Los niños saben eso y pese a los contratiempos, también disfrutan del nuevo integrante de la casa. No lo vamos a regalar, como fue la idea en su primer momento. Ahora, vamos a cuidarlo y disfrutar de su compañía.
! [English] Beyond all the daily events we have, we enjoy giving the dog a new chance. Surely if we had left him abandoned, he would have been hit by a car and would not be alive today. The children know that and despite the setbacks, they also enjoy the new member of the household. We are not going to give him away, as was the idea at the beginning. Now, we are going to take care of him and enjoy his company.
Es importante adoptar y/o comprometernos con estos animales. Muchas veces tenemos muchos inconvenientes en nuestro día a día, pero ellos no tienen la culpa de ser abandonados. Las personas que los abandonan sabrán ellos y tendrán, o no, su cargo de consciencia. Pero quienes empatizamos con los animales, podemos hacer algo desde el lugar que nos toca.
! [English] It is important to adopt and/or commit ourselves to these animals. Many times we have many inconveniences in our daily lives, but they are not to blame for being abandoned. The people who abandon them will know and will have, or not, their conscience. But those of us who empathize with animals can do something from the place where we are.
Desde hace tiempo quería contar los avances de Charly en casa y el día de hoy decidí hacerlo. Esperemos que sea el último rescate por el momento, pero conociéndolo a Zuni, está difícil la cuestión.
