Unas de las cuestiones que me he hecho últimamente es si debería sentir o no algún tipo de culpa al momento de utilizar la IA, ya sea para estudiar o trabajar. Esto nació a partir de una suerte de comparación con respecto al estilo de vida que teníamos anteriormente, donde se nos motivaba a razonar profundamente para resolver todo tipo de problemas. Justamente lo que traía consigo, era en mayor o menor medida etapas de estancamiento y frustración.
Posiblemente las mentes maestras hayan atravesado este camino con dificultades, pero si lo viéramos desde cierta perspectiva, podríamos asegurar que hay una ventaja concisa, que es la de estar preparado para todo tipo de problemáticas que apuntan a la actualidad, pero es también aplicable a futuro.

One of the questions I have been asking myself lately is whether or not I should feel any kind of guilt when using AI, whether for study or work. This arose from a kind of comparison with the lifestyle we had before, where we were encouraged to think deeply in order to solve all kinds of problems. What this brought with it, to a greater or lesser extent, was periods of stagnation and frustration.
It is possible that the masterminds have gone through this path with difficulties, but if we look at it from a certain perspective, we can say that there is a clear advantage, which is to be prepared for all kinds of problems that are relevant today, but also applicable to the future.

Si nos detenemos unos instantes a evaluar el rendimiento de dos personas, una utilizando la IA para su aprendizaje, y otra que recurre a los métodos tradicionales, veríamos resultados que podrían considerarse sumamente similares, ya que el objetivo será el mismo. Lo que sí cambia es el tiempo en que uno llega a una conclusión (esa conclusión confirma que se ha entendido por completo un tema en particular).

Uno podría preguntarse si es un atajo el uso de inteligencia artificial. Realmente lo es, pero también debemos tener en cuenta que una de las metas en nuestros estudios y en el área profesional es ser eficientes. One might wonder if the use of artificial intelligence is a shortcut. It really is, but we must also bear in mind that one of the goals in our studies and in the professional field is to be efficient. In fact, in the coming years, we are expected to solve problems no matter how, just to get it done. Furthermore, AI is playing a very important role because it is considered a novel support tool that will continue to be around forever from now on.
Is AI a form of cheating? Not really, because if we look closely, students in the past used to turn to information on websites. Those who are computer scientists have probably visited StackOverflow more than once, so the important thing here is to feed on information and know how to work with the data we have found in order to solve complex situations.
I don't think it makes sense to avoid using contemporary tools in order to prove oneself pure in the traditional sense. It could be unnecessary “burning out” when you could be moving forward more quickly and achieving the same result. To conclude this topic, I would say that the current market prepares us to be competitive, and falling behind because of that purity could leave us out of the competition.
