Hola maravillosa comunidad. Mi nombre es Yuslenis Molina y soy una gran admiradora de su país. Me decidí a participar en la iniciativa de semana santa. Invito a 
En Cuba casi todas las cosas son diferentes, la semana santa no iba a ser la diferencia.
Claro, aunque todo tiene excepciones, y ahí está el caso de católicos y protestantes. Las personas católicas hacen misas y tienen ayunos, pero además dedican esta semana para rezar y celebran la resurrección de Cristo.
Los protestantes hacen cultos llenos de alabanzas, por el Señor que dio su vida en la cruz del calvario para lavar los pecados del mundo y que todo el que en él crea, tenga vida eterna.
En mi familia, mi tía pertenece a una iglesia protestante, por eso conozco algo de las celebraciones de semana santa. Sin embargo, tengo los recuerdos de la superstición de mi abuela. Ella decía que el viernes santo no se barre la casa ni el patio, porque se puede llenar de hormigas. (La imagen en la que me ven barriendo, fue del jueves en la noche.)
Debía dejar todo limpio para que al otro día no tener la necesidad de barrer la casa y solo limpiar con agua. Pues tener la casa llena de hormigas no es cosa agradable, que se te suben hasta en la cama, y entran hasta en el paquete de la sal, como si esta fuera la cosa más dulce que jamás ha existido. Por eso saqué todo el polvo de la casa la noche antes.
Por último, les cuento que también los viernes santos, cuando una planta tiene poca cosecha, se le da algunos golpes, pidiéndole a la planta que dé frutos y se le cuelga en una de sus ramas un par de zapatos viejos. Eso me ha dicho siempre mi madre y he visto los resultados positivos de su acción.
Cosa curiosa y cómica. Yo no podía tener hijos, en el viernes santo del 2014, mi mamá me dio golpes suaves pidiéndome nietos, y en enero del siguiente año le di la noticia que sería abuela.
¿Ahora me pregunto, será solo superstición?

In Cuba, almost everything is different; Holy Week was no different.
Of course, there are exceptions, and that's the case for Catholics and Protestants. Catholics celebrate Mass and fast, but they also dedicate this week to prayer and celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
Protestants hold worship services full of praise, for the Lord who gave his life on the cross of Calvary to wash away the sins of the world and that all who believe in him may have eternal life.
In my family, my aunt belongs to a Protestant church, so I know something about Holy Week celebrations. However, I have memories of my grandmother's superstition. She said that on Good Friday, you don't sweep the house or the yard because they could be filled with ants. (The picture of me sweeping was from Thursday night.)
I had to leave everything clean so that the next day I wouldn't have to sweep the house and just clean with water. Having a house full of ants isn't pleasant; they even climb on your bed and even get into the salt packet, as if it were the sweetest thing ever. That's why I removed all the dust from the house the night before.
Finally, I'd like to tell you that on Good Fridays, when a plant has a poor harvest, it is beaten a few times, asking the plant to bear fruit, and a pair of old shoes is hung on one of its branches. My mother has always told me this, and I have seen the positive results of her action.
A curious and comical thing. I couldn't have children. On Good Friday 2014, my mother gently tapped me, asking for grandchildren, and in January of the following year, I told her that I would be a grandmother.
Now I wonder, is it just superstition?
