Hello beautiful souls 💓
Words carry emotion just like colors on a canvas.Today I am sharing a poem titled "Aditu láyé"( mystery of life) which speaks of the mystery of God and how his ways often defy human logic expectation.
Aditu láyé ( mystery of life)
Aditu l’aye —
Is it not mysterious
That beauty wanders here
With no crown upon her head,
While ugly becomes
The desire of all men?
That the slave sits upon the horse
And kings in rags
Hold the reins in silence?
Aditu l’aye —
Is it not a mystery
That the foolish are called wise,
And wisdom is mocked as foolishness?
That the taste of truth is bitter,
But deceit is sweet —
Like honey on broken tongues?
Is it not strange
That the freedom of the poor
Frightens the rich,
And the problem of the rich
Becomes the longing of the poor?
Aditu l’aye —
How strange it is
That we arrive in a place they call a market,
Only to leave empty-handed,
Heading home
To a land built in imagination,
Fueled by revelation.
Reflection
Aditu L’aye was inspired by the mystery of God — how His ways remain beyond human understanding, yet His creativity is visible even in life’s contradictions. The world feels unbalanced, but in every paradox, I see the hidden wisdom of the Creator. What line stood out to you most? I'd love to hear your reflection.
