I developed a thick skin,
They tried to break me and throw me into a trash bin,
Murmurs and making fun of me,
But I let it slide and let them be.
Side talks don't get to me,
Momma taught me to be soft and mean,
Mean that I don't get bothered by what they say,
Soft that I can feel at the end of the day.
So I walked away,
To a place, I could find solace, pray and stay.
My mental health means a lot to me,
Happiness and peace of mind are key,
Whatever will get me down on my knee,
Is to be connected to thee.
So I walked in between the trees,
There I was alone with my thought and free,
Curled up in my dreamworld,
To be back again, me against the real world.
I shall not cower,
For I've got superpowers,
From God and my thoughts,
To fight them all against all odds.
