If you were to ask me who I am, I would say,
a woman born to love,
all that my environment caresses,
without distinction, with reason to be, without ceasing.
I walk with my head held high,
I have nothing to hide, see and read,
I am an open book that does not exalt itself,
to those who want to browse without shame.
With faults and virtues I unfold,
in life, vicissitudes I have to face,
but firm I go on, dreams of fire,
Fighting, without fear, never giving up.
I am not captive to the judgement of others,
I do not live to please mankind,
I am as I am, intact and alive,
no one will change me, my truth in freedom.
