sorpresivamente
comienza a nevar en Caracas
-donde nunca ha nevado antes, amor mío-
los copos caen lentamente
sobre un muñeco de nieve.
El sol de Caracas
ilumina tu casa
te calienta
mi voz te toca
te lleva el trópico hasta Hamburgo
te acaricia
lleva hasta ti mi deseo
trae a mí tu deseo.
Se funden la nieve y el trópico
tu cuerpo y el mío
me dices que te derrites
yo también me derrito
juntos alcanzamos el placer
no hay allá ni aquí
no hay ahora ni después
cuando nieva en Caracas
y estalla el sol tropical en Hamburgo,
aunque es invierno.

The snow and the tropics melt

there is not now or after
when it snows in Caracas
the tropical sun bursts in Hamburg.
