Fantasy Day.
I imagine one day in which nobody would fake a smile
The same day that we would all make the tilling of the land
Each and one of us would plant a tree
We would all forget about iron, gold, and copper
Adorning the night with lights
Extending the day, all pain has gone to exile.
Raising the glass of wine, hoping and with joy
Drunken sailors with cero violence
Small children are not afraid
Violins on the docks
Women sailing by the sound of a siren song
And the others, loving instead of hurting.
I imagine one day in which all would be father and mother to somebody
Leaving no space for loneliness, fear, and loathing
In the tiny, the colored, the vulnerable
Swords would transform into wheat
And storages of coins into bakeries
Free, of all reward
For the hungry, for the needful.
Traveling would be like a breeze
So all the loved ones will reunite in the blink of an eye
War is over
Socialism is over
But it took all the "lisms" with him
A thousand miles and it will be just one.
I imagine a day of collective healing, just a day, of fruit collection
I swear there's no priests that day, no prophets
Just unity, and wisdom, no imagination
Truth
And then it all would come back to the next day, won't it?
Picture: Me in Finland, 2016.
These words came to my mind as I was meditating around yesterday night when I was trying to find things that I think block me sometimes to feel that I live in a righteous and flourishing world. Happiness, suffering, selfishness, is all social construct, but still as human beings every day we face ourselves and our defects to try to do our best and build a better world. Sometimes it feels like not all of us compromise and make the same type of effort, or maybe some don’t even care for such things.
In the end, I think that a perfect world is a fantasy, even to accomplish for one day, to give meaning to the concept of my writings.
Thanks if you took the time to get here. What would make a fantasy-perfect day for you? Regards to everybody, and best wishes.
César.
