The Sight of You
The sight and thought of you
Carry me away like the tides,
And with each attempt to reach you,
I’m overtaken by the waves.
Love, truly, is radiant,
And with you, it is a miracle.
But in my fragile state, it’s too vast to grasp;
My boats are too small to sail this ocean between us.
So, I settle to watch you glow from afar,
The horizon that you are, where beauty eludes me.
Your attention lies too far to hail;
I accept my limits and admire your beauty.
