Oh, don't mind me, I'm just walkin' home
Might take a while though, it's on the other side of the world
Yeah, it's a long way to go, I know
But it's home
So I'll go
No matter the road
What? Oh, no, I don't have to walk that far every day
Actually, this is the first time I'm going that way
I should've mentioned, it's a home where I've yet to stay
So they say
Anyway
I'm on my way
What? Oh, no, I don't have any old bed to see
Well, I did, but I'd like to think it's glad to be without me
Me and that place had no more memories left to weave
So 'fore I leave
Walk with me
For a moment, through the heaths
Oh, don't look so sad; Honestly, I guess it's only fair
I had my share of fun with it, and now it had its share
I guess I've no place in mind; Really, I'll go anywhere
But I don't care
I'm all prepared
And I hope I'll see you there
This is probably the most calm and optimistic poem I've written in a while, and it's also probably the most conventionally rhythmic and rhyming one. There honestly isn't really much to say about this one; it wears its message right on its sleeve. It's about moving on and finding a new place in this world.
