Meditating on how had described "Haibun and Haiku," which I am not familiar with, will be the basis for my poetic reflection.
I find this week's poem to be very daring.
I understand that:
"Haibun" is a form that combines prose-like reflection with a "Haiku" at the end.
I hope I met ' and
's expectations.
The morning pulls me outside
before courage arrives.
I carry lists, expectations,
the weight of what must be done.
Buses argue with the road,
voices rise, horns insist.
Still, somewhere between two
crossings,
I pause.
Not because the world softened,
but because I did.
I breathe once—
and that is enough
to continue.
Street noise pauses—
my breath finds its own rhythm
before the next step.
This is my response to this week's Haibun challenge.
THANK YOU FOR THE REFLECTION AND SEE YOU AGAIN WITH MORE POEMS
