A Happy new week to you all.
It's a new week, a new month, and time for another prompt which officially is the first prompt of the month. In the last week's prompt, we had the opportunity to pen down some lovely lines through the week's theme "The Rose". If you didn't get the chance to write a piece for that prompt, feel free to revisit and generate some killer lines of poetry.
Proceeding with the prompt for this week...
The theme for this week's prompt is: Freedom
Freedom: The power or right to speak, act, and think without constraint
One thing about humans is that everyone seeks to be free. Of course, freedom is a great feeling. It offers us the chance to act, think and speak in a way of our choice. But does freedom necessarily comes with goodies?
Inasmuch we enjoy the great feeling freedom gives, most times people tend to misuse theirs and it ends up bringing them troubles and robbing them of that awesome feeling.
We are people of diverse races right from the days of the colonial masters, enslaved to the point we seek our freedom. Yes, that freedom was given, but what exactly have we been able to make of it?
However, whether rightly used or not, everyone has the right to their freedom. What they choose to do with it, is their business.
In this week's prompt, have a deep think and ask yourself. Am I free? What is it that I need to be free of? Share your thoughts about chains and cages and why people should be free from them
Put your lines in the way that pleases you and write without sentiment 🙂
Prompt for the week of October 3rd-October 9th
Let your keyboard or quill, pen or pencil.. crayon.. or whatever you like to express yourself with, do the talking. Put down some killer lines of poetry, and share your awesome works with the community and the world.
That's about all for this week. Looking forward to catching up this week, and reading some cool writing. 😀
