The Road
Life is turmoil during these uncertain times
There is no valid reason why the world burns
Politicians commit most grotesque crimes
The bodies pile up as each side takes turns
Ordinary people wish peace toward others
Our fathers, brothers, sisters and mothers
Wish for their children to have a happy life
Without being sent off to brandish a knife
Is there a Savior anywhere to be seen?
The deities are just part of the machine
Imperceptible to humanity the holy unclean
Waiting has become extreme and obscene
We shouldn't leave our children to "The Road"
That is a future that should not be bestowed
Altered source code sporting the best bar code
Headed toward certain misery by the truck load
