Broken Reflection

Life beckoned to me with treasures immeasurable
Luxury at its peak dined and wined with me
All I needed was to point and it was mine
Lack was a word missing in Life’s Script
A strange tide began to hit my life with a wide torrent
Fear crept into my marrows with doubt for fate
Friends began to withdraw, some neglected
Agitation knocked on my door with a fist of fury
Alas! all I held dear were gradually taken away from me
The uncommon me began to walk the street with commoners
Life played a fast trick on me, abundance it gave was brief
Now I am left with a broken mirror of self, a mirage of ecstasy.
