Son,
when you notice my first wrinkles
It's not because I'm old
are the greetings of the years
every time they pass by here
they bring me new experiences

Hijo,
cuando notes mis primeras arrugas
no es porque estoy viejo
son los saludos de los años
cada vez que pasan por acá
me traen nuevas experiencias
para que sea yo quien te las oriente
para que sea yo quien te diga
lo hermoso que es llegar
a que esos saludos se hagan constante
con el pasar del tiempo.
Hijo, el tiempo puede ser malvado
pero también nos sirve para la cura
de muchas enfermedades del espíritu
y del alma y hasta del corazón.
A veces es como un látigo a tus espaldas
y otras veces como una pluma
que aterriza con suavidad llevada por el viento.
Hjo,
Nunca dejes que el tiempo sea tu látigo
trata de llevarte bien con él
para que sea tu bálsamo
sea tu mejor aliado en las buenas y en las malas
no vaciles al tiempo
sé honesto con él
y él te recompensará.
Hijo,
No vale la pena discutir con el tiempo
ganarle no podrás nunca
porque mis canas jamás volverán
a ser esa frondoza cabellera cuando joven
el tiempo determina nuestras jornadas
en cada instante de nuestras vidas
porque nosotros somos el tiempo mismo
aunque él siga su rumbo hacia otros mundos.
