The sight of your golden-yellow flesh
In a world of tropical delight
Every juicy drop slowly streaming down
Is torture to my parched body
A knife to your hardened skin
Makes me quiver in anticipation
I watch you undress slowly
My brain is afire and my tongue wet
To savour your kiss of tropical delight
I can't stand delays of my desires
Don't make me wait too long, love
In just a little while, you say
Sharing that seducing smile
That speaks volumes without words
Of our rendezvous with love's affair
Our exotic dance on the moonlit nights
Where every taste of your sweet self
Sends me to juicy realms unknown
Your essence gushing like endless spring
Wetting my lips as my body laps you up
The feel of you inside
Tender, sweet and tantalising
Awakens every part of me
A thrilling touch of energy and vitamins
That refreshes, keeping my soul at ease
I want to be forever entwined
In your golden-yellow embrace
Drunk on the taste of love so fine
I touch up my glass of mimosa
With your sweetening presence
And raise it with glee
Cheers to a lifelong love affair
With my one and only,
Pineapple.
One of my favourite fruits is pineapple simply because it's sweet and oh, don't forget the vitamins in it. I had some pieces this afternoon and this one was exceptionally sweet. Maybe I'm on a fruit sugar high or something but I decided to put my feelings into words.
Do you do the same, if not written, maybe in your head as you devour your favourite food, drink or fruit? Have you tried penning your feelings, understanding the taste and describing it?
I hope you enjoyed reading this poem as much as I enjoyed writing it. I'll gladly welcome your thoughts.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
