I was sitting at the window, as the sun hits an octave higher,
You were sitting on, the roll in front of mine.
I had not glanced at you, since our journey started. I felt nostalgic, happy and sad.
I had been posted to ekiti state of all places, coupled with that, we've wasted several hours on the road.
The driver had stuffed the bus with too many passengers along side, an angry young civilian who sat on the front pew screaming blue murder,
" oga!!drive fast !!omoh werey ni?"
A bawling toddler, who sat beside me was pushing my irritation to the limit. And then I saw you.
Save and handsome like a dark twinkling night filled with stars, quietly reading a book.
You didn't seem bothered. You remained calm and composed should I say hey? Hi?
I was shy, I didn't know what to say.
Alas! You answered the a phone call
You were heading to Ekiti" to serve.
A corp member just like me
" this must be fate" I said I finally made my move and you responded warmly.
I like your humor, and the way your eyes sparkled in admiration as you smiled at me
Our intelligent conversation flew, along side, time.
It was time to swap numbers.we realized our phones were dead.
It was evening, close to dawn and camp will begin tomorrow.we definitely see in camp I mattered, after you gave me your bracelet but when I go to camp I searched everywhere but didn't find you.
I haven't seen you again since then.
It's a mystery I will have to deal with forever.but if you have to read this, I want you to know that your bracelet is glued to my heart, I am still waiting for you.
