A mitigated disaster,
Crisis averted,
From my point of view.
Who knows the true reality,
Traumas alerted,
Stirred up inside of you.
Toes over the precipice
You decided to chance
And fell flat
In your dance
With boundaries
And limits
And testing yourself.
I pulled back from you quickly
In uncontrolled open space
I lingered
Far from your face
And speaking
In quiet whisper:
"I hope you are not broken."
Tell me love
Where are you tonight?
You tease me, love
But you aren't cruel
Or stupid
Or full of spite.
Is this flirtation
In your words and deeds?
Or just my imagination
Running wild
and away from me?
