The cold that blows during harmattan's reign
Brings with it chapped lips and cracked skin, such pain!
The dry air strips all moisture away
Leaving us to suffer through each day
But even as we shiver and shake
There's a certain beauty that this cold can make
So let us embrace this season
And find joy in the beauty and reason
For the cold may bring some discomfort, pain and strife
But it also brings a new and breathtaking life.
The harmattan winds blow in with icy dry breath
Bringing a cold that cuts to the very bone
Our skin is left dry, cracked and patched
And our lips, chapped and sore.
But even as we huddle close for warmth
We can't help but marvel at the seasons warmth
The world is transformed, as blanket of fog covers the atmosphere leaving certain vibes.
So let us embrace this chilly season
And find delight in its simple reason
For the cold may bring some shivers and woes
But it also brings a unique and beautiful prose
So let us embrace harmattan's cold,
And find joy in the beauty it does trace
For though it may be harsh, it's a wondrous sight
To see the world transformed in the cold moonlight.
Inspired by the harsh weather in my country.
