Life is busy, but it is full of purpose. Last week, one of my mother pigs gave birth, and yesterday, another one gave birth again. It is truly a blessing, but also a big responsibility. Raising pigs is not easy. It requires money for feeds, time, patience, and a lot of effort every single day. Need to focus especially in the first 3 nights.
When the first pig gave birth, I was not that tired because my husband was very hands-on in taking care of the piglets. I was just there to support and observe. But this time, it was different. When the second pig gave birth, I was the one who took full responsibility. From the moment the pig started delivering, I stayed close, watching carefully and making sure every piglet was safe and healthy.
Every time a piglet cried, I quickly picked it up and placed it near its mother so it could drink milk. I had to make sure they were warm and protected all the time. It was not easy because piglets are very delicate, and they need constant attention. I felt very tired, but I knew I had to be strong for them.
Because of this, I decided to take a leave from my online work. I was not able to clean the house or do my usual routine. Instead, I stayed in a small tent near the pigs together with my child. At first, it was just for convenience, but it turned into a simple bonding moment. My child thought we were just spending time together. Some neighbor kids came by and played in the tent, laughing and enjoying their time. In the middle of my busy day, that moment gave me comfort and joy.
At night, we also stayed near the pig area. My husband had to leave early every morning to go to the farm and work on planting rice and sugarcane, so I continued watching over the piglets. Even though I was very tired, I felt proud and thankful.
Now, there are 14 piglets in total. Seeing them healthy and active makes all the hard work worth it. I am truly amazed and grateful. I pray that they will grow strong and healthy.
This experience taught me that even in a busy life, there is always purpose. And sometimes, in the middle of responsibility, we find the most meaningful bonding moments. Thank you for reading my story. The lead photo was edited in Canva. Have a nice day!
