Yesterday was exactly what we all needed my break from the daily rush spent exploring a beautiful spot our friend calls their own right here in our area. My family and i hopped over to their place and from the moment we stepped through the entrance we knew we had stumbled into something special..
The first thing that caught my eye was a big red archway it stands tall amid thick greenery like a warm welcome sign leading into a world away from the streets we know so well. Vines curl around its posts, and palm fronds sway overhead blocking out most of the sun so the path beneath stays cool and shaded.
As we walked past it the sound of cars and crowds faded completely, replaced only by birds chirping and leaves rustling in the breeze. It’s amazing how a simple structure can make you feel like you are stepping into a private paradise.
Moving further in we spotted a tall, smooth stone statue standing guard near a small building with a sloped roof. The walls are lined with more plants and a palm tree grows right beside it, its trunk stretching up to touch the roof.
Our friend told us they found the statue during a trip and knew it belonged her now it feels like part of the land itself quiet and steady as it watches over everyone who visits.
Just a few steps away two stone pillars frame another path with huge banana plants shooting up between them. The pillars are rough and weathered with bits of moss growing on their sides proof that this place has been loved and cared for over time. Walking through that gap feels like entering a secret garden you never know what you will find around the next corner..
We made our way to a little A-frame house next, and wow the view from here is incredible! The roof is shaped like a triangle with big windows that let in all the natural light, and you can see hints of mountains or open sky in the distance (we couldn’t stop taking photos of how blue the clouds looked). There’s even a small pool area nearby, bordered by low stone walls and more tropical plants.
My friends immediately ran over to splash their hands in the water laughing as tiny ripples caught the sunlight. It’s clear every corner of this place was built with relaxation in mind fancy frills just simple beauty that lets you breathe deep and slow down.
The last stop was a fountain, where a golden statue sits at the center of a round basin. Water trickles gently into the pool below and colorful flowers grow around its base,m attracting butterflies that flutter from petal to petal.
We sat on the edge for a while, just watching the water and talking about nothing in particular. My mom even said it reminded her of the little gardens she had visit as a kid places where you could go to clear your head and feel grounded again.
All in all it was a day filled with laughter good food and moments that made us realize we don’t need to travel far to find peace. Our friend’s place is not just a property it’s a space where nature and heart come together and we left feeling refreshed, grateful and already planning our next visit.
