Hello Hive Friends! I’m writing this blog on the spot again, as part of my routine of sharing simple life updates. It always feels good to connect with you, and today’s story is about something as ordinary as bread; but it turned into a reminder of kindness and community.
This morning, I was about to head out to buy my breakfast. My dragon fruit coffee was ready, and I needed bread to pair with it. Just then, I heard the familiar sound of the rolling store that roams around our subdivision every morning, selling different kinds of bread.
I stepped outside, ready to buy, but before I could, two of my neighbors rushed toward me at the gate. Each of them was holding a plastic bag, and to my surprise, they handed me three pieces of Spanish bread and three pieces of milk bread.
I was amazed; what a thoughtful gesture! Because of their kindness, I didn’t need to spend on bread today. Instead, I saved my money for other needs. More than that, I felt grateful for the simple joy of receiving something unexpected, a reminder that generosity often comes when we least expect it.
I’m grateful not just for the bread, but for the reminder that kindness is always around us. Thank you, Hive Friends, for sharing in this simple joy with me.
With gratitude and joy, this is Leigh—sharing life’s simple stories, one Hive post at a time.
