Hello everyone! How's everyone doing in here?I just want to share to you my thoughts on this Filipino goodies "the twisted fried doughnuts or the shakoy".Have you tried eating this traditional filipino siakoy or shakoy?
I got hungry while walking going to the school to attend the school encampment activity. So what I did was to make a stop for a while in a bakeshop just near the school to buy some bread.
I've got to look for a hot bread to satisfy my hunger but I didn't like most of the bread that was being displayed in the glass.
I asked the Baker of these were new baked breads. But he said that this was just yesterday's bread that not being sold right away.
So the Baker added but we have a newly made today but it's shakoy,so I looked in it and I liked it because it's newly cooked and it's still hot.And so I bought 100.00 of it.
I remembered my back in my childhood days that my grandma used to cook this for us and after playing were going home in a hurry looking for the twisted doughnut prepared by lola. Its the best twisted doughnut during those days.
So while Im in the bakeshop I have to buy not only for myself but also for my colleagues.I was thinking also to bring this to my colleagues and share this to them who were also joining the camping.
I bought 2 types of this doughnuts, this twisted one and other one is in the circle formed doughnuts.
I shared this to my colleagues and they paired it with a hot choco milk or coffee.
This traditional filipino deep fried twisted doughnut or the Lubid Lubid or can be called as shakoy is just made from a simple ingredients like yeast, flour, sugar, milk and eggs.
I'm thinking of trying this one to make at home.I found this foodies a bit interesting to make.
The
It tasted so well, but I'm into limits when eating breads because its loaded with too much sugar in it.Just ate it with moderation.
So love the feeling of eating this kind or traditional filipino siakoy. It tasted good and I felt better I unlocked my cravings for today. Its so sweet!
Hope you find this post interesting.See you in my next blog journey.
