Me and all my nieces and nephews packed up early and headed to Evo’s Farm Resort in San Luis, Aurora and i swear to you nothing around looks half as good as this place! Like for real Aurora is just so pretty here you can’t even compare it to anywhere else we have been.
We left the house super early because the kids could not wait they were up at like six in the morning asking if it was time to go yet. When we finally pulled up the first thing we saw was that big wooden sign right at the entrance that says “Evo’s Farm Resort” in big letters.
The kids literally jumped out of the car because they spotted the swimming pool right away the water was so bright blue and shiny under the morning sun it looked like a giant mirror. We had booked a cottage beforehand and it was perfect because it’s right next to the pool.
I did not have to worry about running back and forth to check on the little ones all the time. The cottage itself was nothing fancy but it was exactly what we needed. There was enough space for all seven of us three big kids two little ones my sister and me.
It had clean bathrooms with hot water (which the kids loved) some comfy plastic chairs and a table plus a grill outside that we used later for lunch. The roof was made of thatch so it stayed nice and cool inside even when the sun was up high.
And you know what’s best? The wind coming from all the coconut trees around just kept blowing through it felt so fresh and nice way better than being stuck inside with aircon. As soon as we dropped our bags on the floor the kids were already pulling out their swim stuff.
They changed in like two seconds flat and ran straight to the pool. The older ones were doing cannonballs and splashing each other while the little ones stayed in the shallow end kicking their legs and trying to swim like big kids.
I just found a spot by the edge with a plastic chair bought a cold coconut juice from the resort store and sat there watching them have the time of their lives. It was so great to see them laughing and yeling and just being kids.
No one was asking about their tablets or wanting to watch videos, they were just having fun together. When lunch time rolled around we fired up the grill we had brought fresh tilapia from the market, plus some corn, tomatoes and onions to go with it.
We cooked everything right there outside the cottage and the smell was amazing! We eat on the table under the cottage shade and you could hear birds chirping all around us plus leaves rustling in the wind. After eating we walked around huge lawns for tag huts where families sat and cool cart wheel chairs we took pics with. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. We stayed till sunset sky turned orange, pink and purple looking beautiful over the trees. Kids were worn out but smiling big. We sat near the pool and said we will come back soon maybe bring more cousins next time. Aurora is the best Evo’s Farm Resort is perfect to hang out.
