Our picnic with cousins was SUPER FUN! We planned this for so long and now it’s here! We woke up really early like super early but no one was mad because we were all so happy. We met at Tito Boy’s house to put all our stuff in the truck. We have lots of food snacks and Jake said he packed the tent right this time last time he forgot some poles haha!
When we got there we all stopped and looked its so pretty! There’s big green grass on top of a hill. Mountains are all around us and we can see the blue sea far below. The air smells good like grass and sea water! We found a nice spot near trees put down our mats and put all the food on an old table we saw there.
Time to eat! We have so much good food! Tito Boy grilled chicken and pork it’s so tasty! We ate it with rice and spicy vinegar we all like. We also had pasta and Ate Liza made fruit salad with mangoes and coconut perfect for hot weather! Lola’s leche flan is the best we almost fought for the last piece! We talked about old times and laughed at our ugly high school photos.
After eating so much we went down to the beach. The walk took 15 minutes through trees the little cousins ran first the whole way shouting they will find crabs! When we got there sand is white and soft on our feet. Coconut trees are everywhere giving shade. Water is warm and clear we can see small fish swimming near our legs!
We did lots of silly things at the beach! We tried to play volleyball but we kept hitting the ball into trees. We picked up shells some are nice with lines and dots we said we will make bracelets but maybe not haha! We saw an old wooden thing on a cliff it’s been there for years! We climbed up and the view is even better mountains on one side sea on the other!
We went back up when the sun started to go down. The sky turned orange and pink we stopped many times to take photos even if we have the same ones on our phones! When we got back Jake said let’s set up the tent! The little cousins were so excited to help they held poles wrong and tied weird knots but we got it up anyway!
When it got dark we lit candles around our spot it looks like a small party! We ate leftover grilled food and chips drank cold soda and just sat and talked. Kuya Ben told scary stories about ghosts in the mountains the little ones screamed but laughed too! We looked up at stars and tried to find shapes we just made up our own shapes though!
When we went into the tent we were all tired but happy. The ground is a bit hard and bugs are flying around but no one cared. We lay down and said we need to do this again soon next time we will stay 2 days so we can wake up early and see the sun come up over the sea! We slept listening to crickets and waves best sleep ever!
