Hello Friends
There is just something so special about going to your own backyard and picking food that you grew yourself! It makes me feel so happy and proud. We decided to go and collect what was ready and wow we were so surprised by how much we got. Its not just about the food its about the feeling of getting something good straight from nature fresh and clean.
First we picked some amazing avocados. They look so good with their dark green skin and when you cut them open the flesh is so green and creamy. Some were big and perfect just ready to eat. We love avocados because they are so healthy and taste so good whether you eat them plain or put them in dishes. Its always a treat to harvest them.
Of course we have different kinds of bananas growing there too. We got bunches of the regular yellow ones which are so sweet and also those darker purple ones which have their own special taste. They look so fresh hanging there and picking them feels like finding treasure. Bananas are always a favorite because they are perfect for snacks anytime.
We also harvested some sweet corn The husks are still green and fresh meaning they are really young and juicy. And one of the highlights was the jackfruit. We cut open a big one, and inside were those bright yellow pods that smell and taste so good. It takes a little work to prepare but it is so worth it. Both are such delicious tropical treats.
We dug up some root crops too like cassava or yams. They still had some soil on them which just shows how fresh they are. These are so versatile you can boil them fry them or make desserts. And right next to them were the eggplants long and shiny purple. They look so healthy and perfect for cooking up a tasty meal.
Looking at everything we collected, I was just amazed by the variety. From sweet fruits to healthy vegetables we have it all right outside our door. It is really convenient and also saves us money, but more than that it feels good to know exactly where our food comes from. Everything is organic and fresh from our own garden.
Having so much food means we can share too. We love giving some to our neighbors and family. It brings so much joy to share what we have worked hard to grow. Seeing them happy to receive fresh produce makes the whole experience even more meaningful. Its not just food its love and care shared with others.
I am just so thankful for these blessings. Nature is really amazing when you take care of it and it gives back so much. Now we have a big pile of delicious ingredients ready to be turned into wonderful meals. Whether we eat them fresh or cook them up everything will taste amazing because they came straight from our backyard.
