- Aleksandre, hoćeš danas biciklima jednu turu?
- Hajde!
- Aleksandar, do you want a bicycle tour today?
- Come on!
And so we quickly agreed to go on an adventure with our bikes!
My friend came from the village where he lives (Gudurica) to pick me up in my town (Vršac), 7 km away.
So he drove 7 km, or again on the way back (14 km), more than me. 😩😆 I was jealous. 😉
- Are we going?
- Yes!
We set off in high spirits and equipped with energy drinks and water! The sun was hot today, but we left around 5:30 pm, when the heat had already subsided.
The first village we drove to was Mesić.
Mesić is about 10 km from Vršac.
The road there led through vineyards, orchards, sunflowers and cottages.
Nastavljamo put kroz poljane, vikendice i voćnjake.
We reached the intersection where the road to Musicu - on the left and to the village of Jablanka - on the right split.
First, we continued towards Mesić with the plan to go to Jablanka on the way back.
We continue our journey through fields, cottages and orchards.
Nakon 2, 3 km, stižemo u selo Mesić.
After 2.3 km, we reach the village of Mesić.
Selo Broji oko 200 stanovnika.
Evo i manastira:
The first thing you see upon entering the village is the famous Mesić monastery, after which the village got its name.
From 1952, it became a women's monastery, and that's when it really flourished!
The village has about 200 inhabitants.
A small but beautiful town. People raise livestock and engage in agriculture. We noticed at the entrance on the right side a basketball court and a playground where, unfortunately, we saw only one child. Maybe because of the heat. Once upon a time, before entering the village, there was an old jeram, a well with an oval, from which the cattle drank water that was extracted with an old device. It looked like a lever that was lowered on one side and water was taken out with a bucket. We noticed that the derma is no longer there. And so I had the desire to take a picture of it and show it to you.
Here is the monastery:
Malo smo odmorili.
I didn't go inside because I think some kind of mass was being held, and we wanted to visit a lot more before it got dark.
We rested a bit.
Krenuli smo nazad do raskrsnice odakle smo skrenuli. Sad u pomenuto selo- Jablanka!
Do tamo imamo još oko 3, 4 km.
Pejzaži do tog sela su još lepši.
We headed back to the intersection from where we turned. Now to the mentioned village - Jablanka!
We still have about 3.4 km to get there.
The landscapes up to that village are even more beautiful. There was more sun and yellow fields that were mowed with tractors. I couldn't stand it, I had to get off the bike and walk a little in the hay and take a picture there because it's as beautiful as in paradise. The hay was shining under the early evening sun, the tractors were going around me, and you could hear the occasional bird!
Ok, nastavljamo put.
Ulazimo u Jablanku.
I enjoyed every kilometer, and my friend got annoyed because I was getting off the bike every 10 minutes! 😆😆😆
He doesn't understand that I have to share this happiness with you! 🥰
Ok, we're on our way.
We enter Jablanka.
As in the previous village, there is a building at the very entrance on the left side. This time, the Orthodox Church of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitrije.
The church is raised a few meters above the main road. Beautiful lines, harmonious and with beautiful icons painted on the outer walls. It is surrounded by wonderful greenery, small pine trees.
The village of Jablanka also has about 200 inhabitants.
Potražili smo neko lepo mesto da ga pojedemo i odmorimo sad već umorne noge.
We asked a few people in the village if there was a store. You won't believe it, they said to our joy that there is one, and three neighboring villages are buying in it. Three villages in one store. 🥴
But they are probably well organized, so they buy to have enough food for the week.
We bought ice cream! 🍦🍦
We looked for a nice place to eat it and rest our now tired legs.
Dok smo odmarali uz sladoled, primetili smo puno dece kako stidljivo izviruju iz kapije seoskih kuća. Gledali su nas sve vreme. Kada bi ih pogledala, brzo bi zatvorili kapiju! 😆
Mi smo za njih bili atrakcija. ❤️👫🧍♂️👭🧍♀️
Odmorni, krenuli smo nazad ka kući- u Vršac.
Za danas je bilo dosta. Dovidjenja, Jablanka!
Dok smo u povratku prolazili kroz selo, uživali smo u posmatranju autentičnih starih kuća.
While we were resting with an ice cream, we noticed a lot of children emerging shyly from the gates of the village houses. They were watching us the whole time. If she looked at them, they would quickly close the gate! 😆
We were an attraction for them. ❤️👫🧍♂️👭🧍♀️
Rested, we headed back home - to Vršac.
That's enough for today. Goodbye, Jablanka!
While we were passing through the village on the way back, we enjoyed looking at the authentic old houses.
The sun had already started to set, and we enjoyed the sunset and the last kilometers on the way home.
