Hello everyone, this is my first article here on STEMgeeks. I was inspired to write based on what i experienced on X formerly known as twitter where there was a trend where AI (chatgpt) could create a ghibli style of any image.... So i decided to join the community to share my little ideas.
For the past few years we have discovered that AI has been evolving at an incredible pace and it seems they can do everything at this point and sometimes I feel like we just only scratching or moving around the surface of what it can actually do or maybe we're just the ones limiting them by programming them on what to do and not to do.
Everyday there is always a new trend I come across, a new tool I haven't heard of, or a new creative possibility that we thought was impossible to do within seconds or minutes but all if a sudden AI does it and leaves us amazed.
One of the trend that recently took over X( formerly twitter) was the Ghibli-style transformation, where chatgpt turns everyday photos into stunning anime inspired artwork and to be honest that really surprised me and i was to amazed my the awesome work if art AI can actually do and it does it free again.
At first, i scrolled past it while admiring the creativity but never really thinking that i would try it myself because my first thought was that it can't be free. So all i did was like peoples own and admire it and with time, i started wondering how my character anime would look like and finall curiosity got the best of me, i thought i wasn't easily peer pressured into doing things but when it's just so amazing like this, i would just have to allow it to get to me at some point.
Like many people around the world, i never thought or imagined AI could create something so artistic, though i knew some AI that have some fantastic artistic works but i never knew that it could turn a simple picture into something that looks like it belongs in a Studio Ghibli film, if you watch anime while growing up like avatar (the last Airbender), you would understand why i said stufio Ghibli fim because it looks exactly like that.
I believe one day or at some point, AI would be able to create animation movie with just a prompt and movie would be something everyone can do and the only difference would be the story line. I actually can't wait for then to see what we can actually do, the future is for us to grab.
Once I realized I could experiment with AI for free, I decided to finally give it a shot and these are the outcomes: the Ghibli effects and the original picture.
