President Bola Tinubu has now sought the Senate's approval for an additional $7.8 billion and a €100m loan.
This comes after he requested approval for a ₦2.18 trillion supplementary budget.
Two weeks ago, Nigeria's cabinet approved a budget of 26.01 trillion naira ($34 billion) for the upcoming year, with one-third of this amount designated for interest payments.
