Great evening
We brought the kids to Newcastle for their mid term break. I took up a couple of days off work and the kids were off school.
In Ireland fireworks are illegal, so there was great excitement, when we told the boys that we were bringing them to a fireworks display at Beamish Hall.
As well as the fireworks, there were fire jugglers and fair ground rides which were a great hit with the kids. They were also a great hit on our pockets at £2.50 a ride! It was worth it to see their smiley little faces though.
The Fireworks
After an hour of fair ground rides, fire jugglers and food, it was time for the main event, so we found a good spot near the fence for the Fireworks display.
Our boys were fierce excited for things to get going and then at 7:30pm on the button the countdown begun....

The crescendo
The Fireworks display went on for around twenty minutes and our three sons and three nieces loved every bit of it and did not want it to end.
End it did however and like all fireworks displays, they saved the best until last. Any display worth its salt holds a considerable arsenal of fireworks back for the finale.
I did my best to get a few shots on my phone, but of course, they never turn out as well as you want. They should give you an idea of what if was like though.
That gun powder type smell hung in the air afterwards, which is one of those smells that I love! It reminds of the cap guns of my youth.
Ok then, here is the crescendo...
