Hi all,
My wife and me went for holliday to France, to the Atlantic coast.
The Arrival
We arrived here on Sunday noon 2022/06/26.
We have a tiny house in the village "Les Fautes Sur Mer"
So, life is easy going here.
We sleep long and go to the beach if we want.
But usually we don't ly on the sand, but have long walks and check the area.
Tuesday, June 28, Pointe d' Arcay
After arriving and relaxing from the long Tour (900 km from home by car), we explored the half island on that we live. We went until the end of Pointe d'Arcay
The whole beach was (except of one other couple) empty.
So we walked 16 km all in all.
Wednesday, Les Fautes Sur Mer
Next day we walked into the other direction. In the low tide we found a lot of strange figures in the sand.
As it looks like trees I made some artwork out of it.
Then I found this stone which reminds me at the painting "the cry" from Munk:
So I draw also the painting and put in the stone:
Thursday, La Rochelle
On thursday we drove by car to a city next to us: la Rochelle.
We parked at the rim of the city and had a long walk:
Here are some nice impressions of the city:
Friday, biking to Les Conches
We rent two bikes and made a tour to the north of the coast, until we reached Les Conches:
Saturday, Pointe D'Aigullion
Now we took the other direction: South-East, heading Pointe D'Aigullion.
This field is from some flowers with a very beautifull smell:
On low tide one can see lot of these empty creeks:
The sea has gone away until the horizon.
More coming soon, so stay tuned!
