Now I want to share my experience when I did mudik. As stated in my profile.
I now live in Cikarang, Bekasi 🏭 and my hometown is Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, ⛰️ so when I go home, I go to Gunungkidul. The distance from Cikarang to Gunungkidul is approximately 500 Km, and it takes 18 hours to travel, I went home on a motorcycle for 18 hours😵💫😮💨, that's the same as resting...
Homecoming by riding a motorcycle is fun, you know, but you have to be careful considering the long distance, because it is prone to sleepiness and accident-prone so we must carefully prepare our homecoming equipment, my homecoming equipment includes, motorcycle gloves, helmets, shoes, jackets, masks, glasses, don't forget that I also bring first aid kits and medicines for fear of unwanted things happening on the road. ....
Okay, the preparations are done, now I want to tell you the route I passed when going home, the first city after Cikarang is Karawang, Karawang is also still in West Java, then the next city is still in West Java as well, namely the city of Subang, the city of Subang is the first city of the route which is often known as the Pantura route which stands for the north coast route, then the next city is the city of Indramayu, still continuing on the Pantura route, Indramayu is also a city that is still in West Java province, This city is known to be very long by travelers because they have to spend approximately 2 hours to pass through this city, in this city the journey feels tiring, but still have to continue the journey because it is still far to reach the city of Gunungkidul, if most rest later it will not arrive, in short the city of Indramayu has been passed, now the next city is Cirebon, this city is the last city in West Java province, in this city I usually rest for a moment while refueling.
And finally entered the first city in Central Java province, Brebes district, Brebes is known for its salted egg specialties, the next city is aji barang purwokerto, along the way brebes to purwokerto the air is quite cool because this district is at the foot of slamet mountain, the next city is Banyumas, just for information purwokerto is included in banyumas district, it's just that the center of government is in the city. then the next city is cilacap, passing through cilacap the trip is quite short because it only passes the city border, the next city is Kebumen, this is my wife's hometown here I usually spend the night first before continuing the journey.
Okay, after finishing spending the night in the city of Kebumen, I continued my journey to Yogyakarta, before entering Yogyakarta, the city that must be passed after Kebumen is Purworejo, this is the last city in Central Java.
And finally I entered the special area of Yogyakarta province which became my beloved city of Gunungkidul, to get to Gunungkidul from the city center of Yogyakarta still had to take approximately 2 hours drive, after 2 hours of travel, I arrived in my beloved city of Gunungkidul. .....
