Col Perer is a small village, almost all the houses are second homes, mostly used in the summer. This is because it is not a tourist area, there are few services and activities.
In this period it is difficult to find an open bar.

Col Perer è un piccolo borgo, quasi tutte le case sono seconde case, usate per lo più nel periodo estivo. Questo perchè non è una zona turistica, ci sono pochi servizi e attività.

The day was cold but beautiful and from the altitude of 1000 meters the view was fantastic.

The route I took leads to Fort Lan, a military fortress whose construction work began in 1908 but was not finished when the First World War broke out. Given the distance from the front, the fort did not have much importance in the conflict, but during the Italian retreat it was blown up so as not to leave it to the advancing Austrians.

Il percorso che ho fatto conduce al forte Lan, una fortezza militare i cui lavori di costruzione iniziarono nel 1908 ma non furono finiti allo scoppio della prima guerra mondiale. Data la distanza dal fronte, il forte non ebbe molta importanza nel conflitto, ma durante la ritirata italiana esso venne fatto saltare in aria per non lasciarlo agli austriaci che avanzavano.
Today the fort is in ruins, partly collapsed in the Italian retreat, while the parts still reusable were removed by the recoverers of the underlying countries. In addition to the fort covered with vegetation, there are also the ruins of the stable, the commander's house and the barracks.

Oggi il forte è in rovina, in parte crollato nella ritirata italiana, mentre le parti ancora riutilizzabili vennero asportate dai recuperanti dei paesi sottostanti. Oltre al forte ricoperto di vegetazione, vi sono anche i ruderi della scuderia, l'abitazione del comandante e la caserma.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to reach the fort, there were about 3 km but the sun sets early, so I had to give up and go back.
It is certainly a goal that I will achieve in the summer months.

Purtroppo non ho fatto in tempo a raggiungere il forte, mancavano circa 3 km ma il sole tramonta presto, così ho dovuto rinunciare e tornare indietro.
E' sicuramente un obiettivo che raggiungerò nei mesi estivi.
The final stretch to reach the fort is slightly uphill and runs alongside the wood. The road can also be traveled by car and on the internet I discovered that in summer an eco village is open where you can stay overnight.

Il tratto finale per raggiungere il forte è leggermente in salita e costeggia il bosco. La strada è percorribile anche in auto e in internet ho scoperto che d'estate è aperto un eco villaggio dove si può pernottare.

I would have liked to have reached the fort, I was a bit sad, but seeing a beautiful sunset is a great consolation.
