Today I invite you to the watchmaking metropolis of Switzerland, Biel city is bilingual with german and french language on even basis, it is located at the eastern end of Lake Biel. The watch brands Rolex, Swatch, Omega, Tissot, Movado and Mikron are all here at home.
Located to the south of Biel, Nidau Castle sourrounded by a park was founded about 1140 by Count Neuchâtel on the banks of the Zihl near the shores of Lake Biel. A watch tower already existed here in the 11th/12th century, which was replaced by the construction of an imposing moated castle.
The present building dates from 1627 to 1636, with the a few exceptions. The Knights' Hall housed here the Nidau District Court until 1997.

Lake Biel or Lac de Bienne in French, Lago di Bienna in Italian lies near the side of Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel and is one of the three large Jura lakes in Switzerland. You can have from here many recreations activities.
