A mountain resort in Romania when you're in the area, it's a must-visit. Poiana means a mesdow and Brasov is the nearby city here. a summer stroll here is very different from the busy ski season. A fresh mountain air from the surrounding pine forests load you for a trail to Postavaru mountain or only for a rest for a caffe, limonade or a traditional Romanian dish in a restaurant.
Here a beautiful stroll a gateway to nature only a short drive from the medieval city of Brasov to a mountain resort atmosphere. The slopes are turn into green carpets dotted with woldflowers. Poiana Brasov is not just a ski resort, it is a place where you can slow down and enjoy both nature and confort. all the time when I visit Romania is a refreshing stop here after the see side on the Black See.
A tiny wooden little Orthodox church, built in traditional style with a shingled roof and a delicate bell tower . Looks like a refuge away from the bustle in winter of the ski slopes.
Inside soft candlelight, painted icons with a sense of quiet, warmth, simplicity and devotion. It is not grand but it is timelles. A place where skiers, hikers and wanderers take a stop not only to rest their feet, but to rest their hearts.
Have a beautiful day!
