One of my favorite places in a small distance from my hometown of Kostroma is the village of Dunilovo, Ivanovo region.
An amazingly beautiful and attractive place at any time of the year. I have been here in spring and summer, and day and night. I met the sunrise and was here at sunset.
This winter I happened to be here on my way to Shuya. I was on my way to the Christmas festival and the road led right through the village of Dunilovo. Strictly speaking, this is not one village, but two. The villages are separated by the Teza River. One is called Goritsy, the second is Dunilovo.
These villages are very rich in temples. Even today, when some of them are in a dilapidated state.
When you find yourself on the bridge over the river that divides the village in the very center and around you there is Russian nature and churches that never spoil the landscape, you feel an amazing sense of peace and harmony.
