Okay, no more side comments, let's get this Part 2 going.
But first, to all newbies reading this blogpost, I highly encourage you to read my first Costa Marina (Part 1) blogpost so you'll get the gist of it before proceeding to read the Part 2. Like duh, obviously.
The Main Entrance
As we were slowly approaching the resort proper, we have to go through their main entrance where they'll check and verify your reservations and inspect the contents of your bags. I booked our day tour reservation beforehand so it would lessen the hassle of coming to the place. The staff guarding the post, as you can see in the picture below, (which she is clearly been blocked by that rectangular sign. Sorry) asked me to hand out any of my government official ID's for verification. And so I handed out one, she checked it, gave it back, and we were good to go to officially enter the resort premises. Yey.
Here are some of the main entrance's views:
As seen from the two pictures above, you can clearly see the short stone bridge I was talking about from my Part 1 blogpost. Also notice the waves in the picture are quite rough. One of the resort's staff said that a big cargo ship just passed through the resort and gave big waves! T'was so cool but a little bit terryfing at the same time. 😅
The resort offers kayaks as well for their guests to enjoy. Of course with a corresponding hourly rate though. They have a lot of colored kayaks, and I think only one transparent kayak was available. A single kayak meant only one can ride on it ranges more or less $8 while the double one where two people can ride on it, (as you can see from the picture above), ranges more or less $10.
We wanted to avail their kayaks but we were so busy having fun in the water and taking selfies that there wasn't enough time to do it anymore. (sad)
The Resort Proper
Another signage to welcome their guests.
One of their luxurious villas atop from a small hill or something. LOL.
I bet booking one would give you a breathtaking view of the Costa Marina's beautiful sea.
Oh and apologies for the lame ass shot. My phone's camera caught sunrays and made the picture a little bit blurry.
Below the small hill is a small fish pond (which I cannot be certain or haven't closely looked if there were fishes in it though. LOL) and their small souvenir shop.
Here are one of their staff guarding their mini souvenir shop.
As you can see, not only do they offer souvenirs but they sell swimming floaters (mostly for kids. Too bad. Ya'll grown ass mofos need to know how to fcking swim) and ordinary swimsuits for men and women.
Since its quite hot in the Philippines right now, especially here in Mindanao where the weather fluctuates rapidly from scorching hot to semi-cold rainy seasons, the resort offers ice creaaaam! (the cheap ones though.)
They also have two billboard tables for guests to use.
I think they have two service restaurants, one is here, the other one was way over the other side (which I will be showing you later). This is to cater all guests to their hungry needs wherever they are located in the resort. For you know, easy access.
They have an outdoor clinic where if there are emergencies happening on the beach, they can tend to their guests needs.
Across from their mini outdoor clinic is a lifeguard post where a lifeguard staff will be stationed to check and guard the guests to make sure everyone's safe. Especially since their are many kids going to the resort and kids looooooooove to play in the water and most of them can't swim shit. LOL.
I don't know what this is but I just shot it cause that creepy ass sun gives me the creeps and the flowers surrounding it reminds me of Florence Pugh's movie, Midsommar. So yeah...just shot it out of fun. 😂
As we went along their stone pavement, (we were finding a vacant place to stay since at the time, the resort was jampacked with people) we saw their spacious pavilion where you can eat your food and spend time with your loved ones.
I think this is another one of their pavilions placed in a small hill too. We haven't got up there since we're too lazy to explore every nook and cranny of the place and got too little time to offer. LOL.
They got a lot of signages in the resort to remind guests of their policies and to make them safe while enjoying the resort's premises. An example of them are the ones below:
This is the comfort room that is closest to our table. It is just a small place. They have two showers on the end but was unfortunately locked. We didn't knew why it was locked but we can't just stay there and do nothing. So we went to their main shower room which was located all the way close from the first service restaurant.
All their comfort and shower rooms are placed uphill so ya'll have to climb some large stone stairs before you reach to one. This is the view of their main shower room stone stairs.
Were we tired from climbing up the stairs? Yes, absolutely.
As you're done swimming in the sandy beach, you wanted to go to the shower and clean yourself off. But before you enter their shower room, you must clean your feet and wash all of the sand stuck to your sandals so they'll come out clean and so that the shower room would be clean from sand as well. They have a designated place for that and that is shown on the two pictures above, a separate washing area for the feet.
This is their second service restaurant which was very close to where we were sitting. You can order food and drinks here and they'll bring it to your table. But you have to wait a little bit though since the main kitchen is way over close to their main entrance and its a bit of a long walk.
This is the pavement where you can go back to the clinic, the first service restaurant, the life guard post etc., as seen on the previous pictures above.
This is us ordering some food for our lunch.
Caught you smiling there . Wachu smiling for guuuurl? 😂
This is their menu. They have a lot to choose from. Most of them are a staple Filipino delicacy here in Samal Island.
For our lunch we ordered, chicharong bulaklak ( 's fav thing to order that day), Sizzling sisig and 3 cups of plain rice. (we only ordered three cups of rice since
doesn't want to eat rice at that time and only wants to shove her face with the chicharong bulaklak. LOL. Guess she's craving for that shit that day.)
This is the view when you turn your back while standing in the second service restaurant.
The best part you all have been waiting for:
The Sea
High Tide
I didn't lied when I said they have crystal clear blue waters. They really do, man. 😭
All the pictures I've posted here were NOT filtered or edited. What my camera captured is what it really looks like in reality. Breathtaking isn't it?
If I could live here for the rest of my life, I would. Sometimes the city life is just so stressful and polluted, both the environment and the society living in it that you would die just to get out of there and have a vacation elsewhere.
Low Tide
We were quite sadden that by lunch the low tide came in. It sucked all the water out from the shore. We weren't able to swim again (since we were soooooooooooooooo damn busy doing selfies and shit) and instead just relaxed in the cool shade of our table while eating our meal.
The sea was still wonderful to look at. Especially how blue and clear the sky was. But maaaaaaan was the sun blazing hot. We could've been fried to shit like them damn chicken wings! 🤣
These are some of the pics we took while enjoying our day tour stay at Costa Marina! ❤️
The End of the Dream
Alas, we cannot stay too long on this paradise anymore. No matter how much we want to, still, the city keeps calling us back. I would trade anything for a brief moment of paradise in order to breathe and unwind from life's adversaries.
We were walking towards the docking area where a boat going back to Costa's port in Davao City awaits. A lot of the guests were going home too.
It was still low tide when we went home. Its kinda sad that we weren't able to see the beautiful sea because of it.
And here we are, finally going home and coming back to life's reality.
I put an emoji onto 's face since she requested not to show her haggard face. 🤣
All in all, I/we had such great time on our stay at Costa Marina. Getting to experience coming here again despite the busy city life was already a small achievement for me. If we could go back, we would. We can even go to other beaches or other beautiful places that this world has to offer. Thank you my wonderful friends for spending this moment with me.
Hope you all experience Costa Marina as well! Not just Costa, but all of Samal Island's wonderful beach resorts! They too have crystal clear waters. ❤️ Thank you for reading everyone! Have a great day.
