This is Qaitbay Citadel, one of the most touristic places in Alexandria. Was how we used to protect Alexandria against enemies because it's always easier to invade a land from the sea.
Because they had some renovations going on we couldn't enter the citadel itself and take photos from inside however it's still a beautiful place
There is also many great places nearby like the aquarium Museum and many other touristic places but will post the photos of in a separate post
The government has done significant efforts to make this place a better place and they did some renovations to make it more of a touristic place and make entertaining activities here so it's much better than it was a couple of years ago
It feels good to be a tourist in your own city and even though it's not the first time for me to visit this place I felt extreme joy being here today
