Today I want to tell you about a small village located about 150 kilometers from Moscow in the Volokolamsk district. It's called Ilyinskoe. This is a very common name for a village in Russia.
I was on my way to my daughter's country house and decided to stay in this village. What attracted my attention, and what interested me? My son-in-law told me that storks have built a nest on the old water tower of this village. At first, I didn't pay attention to it, because he said about storks already when we passed the village. But 2 days later in the morning, when the children were still asleep, I decided to specially drive my car to this village and look at the features.
The water tower turned out to be empty, there were no birds on it. It saddened me. Where are the storks?
Wow! Here they are storks, beautiful birds. A pair of adult birds and one mature chick. They were sitting on the roof of the local fire brigade. By the way, not every village has such buildings.
While I was looking at the birds from different sides, another stork joined them and he pleased me with his flight. Perhaps it is the largest bird. Although they can be compared to a heron or a crane.
Where did the storks come from in this region? When did they like this water tower? I probably won't find the answers to these questions.
What else is interesting about this village? Not far from the fire station, there are 2 grocery stores and one store selling horticultural goods.
By the way, I bought wonderful farm products in this store. I did not even think that I would meet such delicious meat products and desserts in this village. And I also bought a melon. It was a very tasty melon.
I found the abundance of greenery along the fences in this village very interesting.
The Prince and the Pauper! What else can you call the neighborhood of a new expensive house and an old dilapidated house? Such a neighborhood can be found very often in Russia. Even in my native village, the situation is the same. I built my two-storey house 10 years ago, 3 years ago another large two-storey house appeared, and around the old unsightly houses that should have been destroyed a long time ago and new houses should be built in their place. However the owners of these houses have no money, and 2 houses are without owners.
This is the local church. It can be seen that there is a rich parish in this village, the building looks neat, which means that parishioners often visit this church and give good donations. By the look of this church, one can understand the well-being of local residents. The church in my village doesn't look the same way. Nevertheless, the Moscow region is indeed richer than the hinterland.
I think this landscape can say a lot about the criminal situation in this village. Bicycles are parked in the morning without any guards or locks. People leave their bicycles on the street at night and are not afraid that they will be stolen!
A wonderful village. Quiet and calm! But I still have a question - how do people make money?
