Istanbul Aquarium Exploration
Greetings, everyone. Last weekend I went to the aquarium with my fiancé. I want to share with you a few photos we took there. First of all, I will continue the series of discovering Istanbul, I realized that I don't know this city either. Secondly, let me talk about the price of these places.
- When converted with today's exchange rate, the adult is equivalent to 10 dollars.
- Students have to pay an average of 7-8 dollars.
...and My New Favorite Fish
The fish you see above is a species called Pterois. It is a poisonous and dangerous fish, but it is so enjoyable to watch the water pass and swim through its veils and fins... It might be my favorite fish now!
It takes a long trip to visit the aquarium. It does not end immediately and is divided into many sections.
The Istanbul Aquarium is a great place to go if you're looking to see some exotic sea creatures up close. The aquarium is very large, with a lot of fish and other sea creatures in it, and there are several different areas where you can explore.
The aquarium is large enough that you can easily spend 2 hours or probably more walking around the different areas, we spent around two hours. So it's good for families looking for a little bit of time together. It also has plenty of opitons so that kids can play while they're waiting in line or while they're exploring the different areas.
The aquarium is nice and clean—it feels like you're walking through a huge fish tank instead of just walking through a building. The staff at this aquarium are really friendly—they seem to genuinely love their work and want people to have fun here too!
Piranhas
We also saw piranhas at Istanbul Aquarium Bakırköy. They were amazing to watch—they looked like they were staring right at us, but we knew that couldn't be true. It was kind of scary, and I couldn't help thinking about the poor people who had to live there.
But then again…it was kind of amazing too!
Sharks
I was at the Aquarium in Istanbul, and I saw great white sharks swimming around. It was incredible to see them up close—they're so big and powerful! I'm used to seeing sharks in zoos or shows, but this was my first time seeing them in person. What I love about them is that they're so graceful and powerful at the same time; you can see their bodies ripple as they swim through the water.
It was also a little scary for the kids who were there with me: they loved it when they could see the sharks up close, but they weren't sure what to do when they got really close. They said that one time a shark swam right up next to their glass wall, which made it hard for them not to scream!
Unfortunately I had to take the photos with my phone and they are not very good. When you come to Istanbul, you have many options about where to go and what to do. This is a very big city. There are many historical buildings and after traveling for a long time, people may want to see something different. For that, this aquarium is very enjoyable. Especially for families with children, you should definitely go.
Thank you very much for reading the post.
