Katribu Pool is a resort hidden in the Municipality of Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur. It is located in a part of the municipality you would not believe a resort would even exist, but yes it exists in there. On the side of the Pagadian-Dipolog Highway, there you must stop, and then just go downhill to find this resort, beside a wide river.
It was a hot day when we randomly decide that we should go somewhere to get cool and have fun. Fortunately, there was a pool resort near the place where we live. The Katribu Pool has one pool six-feet deep for adults, and two pools two-feet deep for kids.
There were water fountain landscapes. One looks like a big vase with water untiredly flowing down. And the other one, was a big white clam in the middle of the kid's pool.
We let the water from the fountain flow directly to or faces because it is jut so cool and comforting.
My 9-year old brother was not fond of swimming in shallow waters, instead, he swam in the six-feet deep pool for adults, and challenged himself. He love swimming and love water so much that even if the pool's depth is not suited with his age and height, he will swim anyway. But of course, I always look after him so he would stay safe.
The place has a natural landscape just enhanced with stones to make it more beautiful. There were many fruit trees with fruits. There were numbers of plant species. There were colorful flowers and bonsai trees. The place were surrounded with nature why it is unique. Most of the resorts are overly renovated with structural designs, but Katribu Pool isn't.
This big white water fountain clam behind my brother is the unique feature of Katribu. Because of this, the resort is now easily recognized. This became the benchmark of Katribu Pool for visitors and tourists.
This time, when we had our getaway to Katribu Pool, there were no other people, only us. I said earlier that this is hidden, and only few people visit this resort, because the resort is not that large too.
We were the only people, and we had so much fun because all the place was ours. We could swim everywhere we want. We had games, laughters, and meals together while enjoy the cool blue waters of Katribu Pool and the nature surrounding it.
It was fun and peaceful at the same time, because what do you mean we got the whole resort just for ourselves? It felt like we were the owners, but no, we just came here to cool ourselves on a hot day.
