There are places in this city that make me feel like I am walking through a place like in a fairy tale, magical and special. Paradise.
As I have told you several times, the Historical Botanical Garden La Concepción in Malaga covers an area of 29 hectares, so it takes me several days to walk through it, if I want to enjoy it in its entirety.
Looking at the plan of the garden, on this occasion I decided to walk through an area marked with the number 17, followed by another marked with the same number. The first corresponds to the Avenida de las Palmeras and the second to a beautiful path leading to the great Mirador Histórico.
The Avenida de las Palmeras consists of a large, wide path with palm trees of various species on both sides and a lot of other vegetation behind them.
On this path there are also seats to admire the scenery and many lampposts, which as you know I love. This place, the botanical garden, is one of my favourite places where I breathe a very special energy. It fills me with peace, tranquillity, it renews me completely. The other place is the paya, because I love water.
Walking along this path is very beautiful, because there is only a light breeze, when there is one, and in between you can hear the chirping of various birds.
The shadows of the palm trees are perfectly drawn in the dream between the rays of the trees and create diverse and ever-changing figures.
A dreamy place where it is very pleasant to spend time, to stroll and enjoy, to fill the lungs with fresh air, to rest the eyes and the mind, and I often need it. This place helps me a lot.
The walk is quite long and you can see a great variety of greenery, vegetation, bushes and also some pots with plants or flowers. The atmosphere is cool even in summer, although a bit humid at that time, but then in autumn and spring these walks are a delight.
I like to look up and see the treetops and palm trees, which are often intertwined. They are free to go in any direction they like. Stronger greens, softer greens, but always bright and with the sun's rays accompanying them.
Of course, I always recommend this walk, as it is very relaxing, with a great path, long and wide, where you can enjoy nature.
Immediately after finishing the Avenida de las Palmeras a path begins, also full of vegetation, but there is already a slope to climb.
This beautiful path seems to be an invitation for an interesting adventure, the path becomes narrow and narrow and on the right side you can see very tall and slender pine trees.
On the right side are the succulent gardens that I had already visited on another occasion, but I had come to them from above. This time I followed the path indicated on the map with the number 17 and I wanted to know where it led me.
But as I was saying, to the left of the path more and more pine trees and bushes were appearing, and not only that, but during the whole long walk I had incredible views of the Malaga Mountains on one side and the city on the other.
Every step I took the landscape changed, in some cases only a little and in others too much, depending on how far I had walked. As the road is not straight, but with several bends, the views changed even more and showed me different postcards of the city and the vegetation of the mountains that surround the city in the distance.
Among the views there are always huge and very tall trees, which belong to the botanical garden but whose tops can be seen from this road at different heights.
In addition, there are shrubs with beautiful flowers and radiant greenery.
To see the city from this point is marvellous, from high up and surrounded by so much nature. Malaga has mountains, parks, sea, gardens, green everywhere, everywhere and to see it all from the height is wonderful.
If I looked down I could see parts with different shades of green, parts of the garden and its beauty.
If I looked back I could see the road, the bushes and the pine trees. All this mixed with the mountain ranges, the different levels of the terrain showing the great formations of nature and its majesty.
I followed the road to the end and arrived at the Historic Viewpoint of the Botanical Garden. I found it beautiful on top of a hill.
More spectacular views from this place, around me there was a water fountain, pine trees, vegetation and I could look down and see the city, the plantations and have a full view of the city and its surroundings.
It was a great excursion, wonderful, relaxing and above all revitalising.
It is a very touristy place, although it is not exactly the tours that bring people here, but travellers do choose it when they come to the city on their own and not in groups. It is totally worth it.
It is a pleasure to have done this hike, this trekking around the place and to bring it back. I send you all a big hello and see you soon.
