While traveling, we often face limited time and busy flights. In such situations, travel arrangements and modes of transportation and accommodation must be really neatly scheduled, including taking into account various unexpected obstacles (forge maguire).
That's what I did when I was doing activities in Solo City, Central Java, Indonesia, some time ago. I participated in two days of busy activities from morning to night in Solo for two days. Our activities ended until the evening and usually, after that there were friends who invited us to enjoy coffee and usually it could last until morning.
Our activities for two days took place at the Grand Mercure Hotel in the center of Solo City. This hotel is located about 18.9 kilometers from the airport and can be reached in about 45 minutes if there is no traffic jam.
Unlike Jakarta or Surabaya which have busy flight schedules with more complete airlines, flights to and from Solo are more limited, especially when I was there, there were several national event activities that made the hotel full and flights busy.
I got a plane ticket to Jakarta in the morning, so I had to stay at a hotel close to Adi Soemarmo Airport. Through an application, I finally got Hotel Amanah Sejahtera. I read some comments from previous guests, it didn't seem too disappointing.
Hotel Amanah Sejahtera is located in a row of fairly busy shops. There are lots of nightlife that makes me not have to be afraid of being hungry. The distance to Adi Soemarmo Airport is only about 10 minutes.
However, it turned out that I was disappointed with the facilities of Hotel Amanah Sejahtera. First, the AC in my room was not working properly so I felt hot. After reporting to the receptionist, I was finally moved to another room.
Changing rooms turned out to be a different problem. In the new room, the water did not flow smoothly so I could not take a shower. However, the manager of Hotel Amanah Sejahtera was willing to take responsibility by providing me with a gallon of mineral water.
Wow, I took a shower with mineral water that is usually used for drinking. The water felt fresh and healthy.
Well, that was my experience looking for a cheap hotel close to Adi Soemarmo Airport. Apart from the problem of the AC not being cool enough and the water not flowing smoothly in my room, the rest was fun, especially without having to worry about being late for the airport.[]
